By accessing or using Remote Spots ("the Service"), available at remote-spots.com and app.remote-spots.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Remote Spots is a web-based tool that calculates GPS coordinates for remote locations (points furthest from roads) using OpenStreetMap data. The Service is provided for informational and planning purposes only.
3. User Responsibilities
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You use the Service and any location data at your own risk
- You are responsible for verifying the safety and legality of any location before visiting
- You will comply with all local laws regarding land access, camping, and outdoor activities
- Remote Spots does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currentness of location data
4. Data Accuracy Disclaimer
The Service relies on OpenStreetMap data, which is community-maintained and may contain errors or omissions. Road data, forest coverage, and water body information may be incomplete or outdated. Always verify conditions on the ground and use appropriate navigation tools when visiting remote locations.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
The Pro plan is a one-time purchase of $5 USD, providing lifetime access to Pro features. Payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy. By purchasing, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service in addition to these terms.

7. Intellectual Property
The Remote Spots application, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Remote Spots. OpenStreetMap data is used under the Open Database License (ODbL). You may use exported coordinates for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Remote Spots shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of data, arising from your use of the Service or any locations discovered through it.
9. Service Availability
The Service depends on third-party infrastructure including the Overpass API for OpenStreetMap queries. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for any downtime or slow response times due to external service limitations.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
